Back to Reality
this past week, i have been off of work and i am off again today. tomorrow means going back to reality.
i didn't get as much done as i would have liked, but this was probably the best holiday season that i have had in a long, long time. i got to see Christopher almost every day for the last week and a half. what a treat!! usually, we are both so busy with work, that we only get to see each other 1-2 times each week.
plus, my honey proposed on December 23!!!! i know i told our story in my last blog and said that we are getting married in the spring. and we are. he just hadn't officially popped the question, yet.
it was really sweet -- and i totally didn't see it coming. we were just watching a movie (Independence Day) and relaxing. there is a scene in the movie where Will Smith's character is getting married and he says, "I'm sorry. I should have done this a long time ago." and Christopher comes over and kneels down in front of me and says, "I have a question to ask you. I have been calling you my fiance for too long without asking you if you will marry me. So, will you marry me?"
i cried -- and said YES!!!! i'm so blessed to have him in my life and so grateful!!!

just surfed in from kimbers korner.
i'm so excited for you...i love your sweet story! i'm raising 3 daughters 19, 17 and 7 and at times it is so difficult giving advice to them (as they ask) as to how they are to know when to open their heart to someone.
i know they tire of hearing the same "you will know, you will just know...just trust God and He will send God's best to you and it will be worth the wait", but it's just so true.
anyway, thanks for sharing your story and i will be checking in to see how the journey is going for you two!
blessings!
